The Reason We Request You Send Your Measurements to Us is.
All The stairs have to fit within a 12-foot-wide piece of carpet and most the time you cannot even depend on 12 ft wide. Manufacturers to save money will actually produce carpet in 11ft 11inch and 11ft 10inch and you have to figure they will do that to every piece of carpet, or you will be short.

Measure From crease to crease going over the stair add 2 inches

Simply Measure from Wall to Wall then add 2 inches

Begin by measuring the Landing from the wall to the edge of the landing and then down to the bottom of the step, adding 2 inches. Next, measure from wall to wall and add 2 inches to ensure a proper fit for your stair carpet installation.

Begin by measuring from the wall and over the edge of the stair and under, adding 2 inches to that measurement. Next, measure from the bottom of the stair up and over the nose to the next bottom of the stair, again adding another 2 inches. Don't forget to count the total number of stairs you have. For instance, you might arrive at a measurement of 46 by 22 for 12 wrapped stairs. Once you have the width, length, and total number of wrapped stairs, send this information to us. We will then provide you with amount of carpet you should purchase.

You always measure the farthest part of any step and go down to where the carpet creases to next step and add 2 inches to make sure you have the extra to play with.

To get the width like depicted in the picture always give 2 inches from where the carpet stops off the edge to wrap or roll the edge.
